My Innovative Work At A Glance...
As Mathematics seems to be a little bit dry subject, it is necessary to teach students the subject in innovative ways. Innovation simply means new. Innovation in education can be defined as a new or novel approach to teaching or learning that results in a transformative educational experience to the students.
So as part of my innovative work as well for arousing in students an interest in learning the topic "Construction of Parallelograms", I make use of origami (the art of paper folding). I demonstrate to students how to make a parallelogram and rhombus out of a sheet of paper by paper folding. It really works well. The procedure of making is shown here.
